In this thread, could you try not to start so many subthreads? It makes it a bit confusing for everyone else to follow the action, and you can always address multiple people in a single comment.
Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't aware that it was confusing everyone. I'll keep it in mind for the future and try not to do it again. I find it a bit weird to address multiple people in a single comment, but I'll work something out.
Thanks for letting me know! This is really helpful!
A word of advice. When it comes to powers like mindreading and soul-sensing, it's far better to assume it's not okay to use them unless told the other player doesn't mind, rather than assume it's okay to unless told not to (like your permissions post is currently set up).
Basically when powers run the high risk of infomodding, you're far less likely to step on toes if you ask permission before rather than beg forgiveness after.
While my permissions post is set up so that people can tell me whether they want me to use them or don't want me to, you are right. It is better to ask before making a post that might step on toes. I'll remember that for the future..but this does beg the question:
Are you alright with chaos using his powers in your post?
Unfortunately, it's a little late to ask me permission, as those powers have already been used on Xion without my prior knowledge or consent. I guess I don't have too much problem with it (so there's no need to edit the post), but in the future I ask that you please ask first.
The reason I bring up your permissions post is because right now, the way your permissions post is worded asks us only to say if it is not okay for those powers to be used. This implies that unless we say it's not okay, you will assume it is okay. And the problem with that is that you have used these powers without prior consent or knowledge, multiple times, which is generally considered poor RP etiquette.
While you are right in the fact that I should have asked for permission first, my permissions post currently states this:
'I would appreciate it if you would let me know in the comments whether your characters would be bothered by these powers or not, or what sort of reactions they would have to these things.'
It basically means that whether you would be happy with chaos using his powers or not, I would like people to post, so I can get a better idea of how to handle him with other characters.
However, again, I do apologize. I have had chaos sense people in the past without asking people when I probably should have, and I will remember to ask players in the future.
